To open the festival, we once again welcome the singers from Millikin University, accompanied by the Seasons Baroque Ensemble. Last year's concert was a huge success, so we're very pleased to invite them back in a programme featuring 17th century Venetian opera, madrigals and chamber music. This concert will be repeated on June 6th in St Andrews at the Opening Gala of the New Brunswick Early Music Festival.

Duo La Tour

The La Tour Baroque Duo brings together Michel Cardin and Tim Blackmore, two outstanding early music performers who will combine their talents to present an inspired program of duos and solos for baroque lute and recorder.

Concert 3 - Sunday June 5th, 7:30pm

Lintuhtine Harmonies choir, Helen Mòrag McKinnon, director
Seasons Baroque Ensemble: Graham St-Laurent, baroque oboe; Sari Tsuji, baroque violin; Katherine Moller, baroque violin, Jonathan Addleman, harpsichord

Seasons Baroque will be on stage again, this time with the York Early Music Ensemble, directed by Katherine Moller, and the Lintuhtine Harmonies choir, directed by Helen Mòrag McKinnon. Virtuosity and flair will be flowing freely in flashy music from the high baroque!

And if this isn't enough music for you, it just so happens that the Louisbourg choir will also be presenting a concert of mainly baroque music the same weekend.
